About AYEP:
 
The Asian American Youth Empowerment Project, funded by Fairfax County, is a program designed to serve low-income Asian American youth with a three-pronged approach that focuses on academic achievement, college and career planning, and leadership development.  Our goals are to help students succeed in school, provide resources for students to explore and plan for their future careers, and help students develop life skills and leadership skills.
 
Position: Tutor
 
AYEP is looking for tutors to work one-on-one with struggling elementary and middle school students.  Tutors will be paired with up with one or two students and meet at least twice a week, 1.5-2 hours each time.  Meeting times are flexible, depending on tutor’s and student’s availabilities. 
 
Tutor’s Responsibilities:
 
 Provide one-on-one tutoring
 Track student’s progress using pre-designed templates
 Work with program coordinator to support student’s needs
 
Hours:
 
Weekdays, any time between 4PM-7PM
