Coming into existence only 36 years ago, the Vietnamese community in Orange County has made significant strides. From its humble beginning, Little Saigon has grown into a shining showcase of the contributions that refugees have offered to America in all aspects: business, manufacturing, politics, the sciences, academia, the arts, literature, and culture. It is time for us to recognize those leaders who have built bridges between this emerging community of new citizens and the mainstream society, enabling the rapid acculturation of our community.
Boat People SOS – California, Inc. has over the past decade provided services to over 5,000 individuals, with a track record of success and has earned the community’s trust. This year marks the first year in which BPSOS-California unveils our recently locally incorporated status to better meet the local needs of our community in California. Proceeds raised from this event will benefit BPSOS-CA.
