FALLS CHURCH, VA – Boat People SOS, in collaboration with the Fairfax County Human Services Multicultural Domestic Violence Project, will host a workshop on addressing perspectives on domestic violence in the Latino/a, Korean, Muslim, and Vietnamese communities. Attendees of this education and advocacy initiative are to include local service providers, community based organizations, faith and community members. The training will take place Friday, August 15, from 8:30am to 4pm at the Ernst Community Center of Northern Virginia Community College, 8333 Little River Turnpike. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all participants and guests. In addition, organizations represented in the training will be exhibiting cultural performances. The Fairfax County Human Services Multicultural Domestic Violence Project is focused on developing a community-based approach to coordinate and integrate services for the prevention and treatment of domestic violence victim for families in Fairfax County.
