Snapshots of Biloxi, Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina
Updates:
Welcome to BPSOS-Gulf Coast! We’re glad you’re stopping by to learn what we have to offer. BPSOS-Gulf Coast was established in 2006 in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina to respond to the disaster-recovery needs of our community. In the four years since Hurricane Katrina, BPSOS-Gulf Coast has expanded our services in order to address the intertwining and compounding effects of unmet needs on refugee and immigrant families and communities and to achieve our mission – to assist Vietnamese refugees and immigrants in their pursuit for a life in liberty and dignity by empowering, equipping and organizing individual and communities in their progress towards self-sufficiency. With two offices in Bayou La Batre, Alabama and Biloxi, Mississippi, we are proud to serve the Vietnamese-American community and beyond, and grateful that we have so many partners, funders, and leaders working with us. Please have a look at our programs and services. If something interests you, stop by, give us a call or send an email to learn more about how to become involved or get support. There are many ways to receive assistance – or give it! We are always looking for more leaders to strengthen our ties to the community. For more information, please call, email or stop by our office:
Thanks again for stopping by! Best Regards, Grace Scire, BPSOS-Gulf Coast Regional Director
