Recent Highlights: 11.19.2009 | Houston, Texas: BPSOS "A Time To Write" Story Contest Honors Twelve Students For Houston Citizenship Week.
11.05.2009 | Houston, Texas: The Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission approved new rules allowing the culture and sale of water spinach by permit in Texas. 10.21.2009 | Houston, Texas: BPSOS held two press conferences to discuss the proposed water spinach regulation. 10.15.2009 | Houston, Texas: BPSOS-Houston partnered with Mayor Bill White's Office to sponsor City of Houston’s Inaugural Citizenship Week from November 16-20th, 2009. A citywide story contest is currently open to all students grades 4-12 in the Greater Houston Area. Deadline for essay submissions is 5pm, November 13, 2009. Download application here.
